Eastern Australia and Its Famous Tourist Destinations
Australia should be next in line on your upcoming holidays. Australia is a great place where you can find wilderness places as well as modern cities. Many travelers go to Australia for adventure. It is one big country with tropical weather, and surrounded by two large oceans.

One of the largest cities of Queensland is the Gold Coast. During the mid 90s, the Gold Coast became known for its beautiful beaches which surfers had enjoyed immensely. This is also famous for its nightlife and is aptly called Australia’s Hollywood. The Opera house and the Harbor bridge, and two famous places to visit while in Sydney, the capital of New South Wales. A visit to Blue Mountains, which is west of Sydney, will bring you to a rugged terrain of rainforest and tall mountain peaks. This is a World Heritage region with plenty of wildlife and different species of plant and animals that inhabit the place. The Blue Mountains is ideal for hikers, mountain climbers, and mountain bikers. Come and experience the great scenery up the mountains. You can also visit the Katoomba Scenic Railway for a great sightseeing adventure up the steepest funicular railway in the world.
The Whitsunday Islands are seventy four inhabited islands in Australia’s eastern coast. There are many rainforests and white sand beaches in these islands. A few meters away from the Great Barrier Reef, these islands is a place of great landscapes and beautiful sunsets. If you enjoy yacht-watching you can visit the Clipper Race Carnival and enjoy their great seafood while there.
Daintree Rainforest is a Unesco World Heritage site in the north east coast of Queensland. Here you find the largest tropical rainforest in Australia. The Kuku Yalanji people inhabit villages that site in this vast rainforest which is great to see. You can stroll along the aerial walkway in the Daintree Discover Center. If you want some quiet time along the beautiful coast, visit the Mysall Beach.
