A lot of people were taught from a young age that going to church is the right thing to do and made sure that they didn’t miss a service when they were young. However, somewhere down the line things change and we feel lazy about going to church. Maybe it’s because we work too hard over the week and on Saturday to make sure that our life is sorted and need to just sleep in or we find better things to do on Sunday like catch up with our favorite entertainment shows among other reasons. The truth is, keeping up with church remains a wise thing to do because it improves our lives in many ways.
The church aids in our connection to God. The atmosphere in the church allows an individual to forget about everything else and focus on God by listening to the biblical teachings, praying and worshipping. These activities offer the best way to elevate the soul and spirit to get in touch with God with other Christians, something that is not easily achieved independently at home.
The church enables us to feel adoration. The church has a very peaceful atmosphere that allows us to forget about our troubles and enliven our spirits. A person has to balance all the aspects of their life to develop wholly and church is a perfect place to nourish your soul. It is critical to be in touch with our souls to stay strong and establish the true meaning of our lives.
The church can grow us socially. It is a social institution that helps us fulfill ourselves religiously. In church, you will find very friendly people whom you can create a network with, especially if you have newly moved into a new neighborhood. They are people you know share your interests and will have a positive influence on you in regards to keeping up with church. The type of friends we get from the church offer great friendships that last long.
The church imparts great values we need for our life and keep us on the right track. The church explains these teachings all through the year in reference to Christ mannerisms. They provide illustrations on how we can best apply those lessons in our lives all the time. The church inspires us to keep doing right and supports us in the mission to live our lives according to Christ. The church helps us find value in ourselves despite our vices.
The church avails a myriad of avenues to give back to the society like the Bible recommends. They provide many opportunities for people to offer their time and other contributions to meet their objectives in this world. We were placed on earth for a greater purpose besides our personal gains and to give back to the universe, especially for worthy causes is a significant way to realize our mission here.
